Guests can book the farmworker's cottage as a double room or as family accommodation to sleep up to four people. Guests have full use of the cottage for the duration of their stay and can choose to have breakfast at the main house or to cater for themselves. Those who prefer the self-catering option will be provided with a variety of breakfast cereals, bread, butter, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, preserves, tea, coffee, etc which will be placed in the kitchenette prior to arrival. We are happy to cater for any special dietary needs - just let us know before you arrive. The MAIN BEDROOM has a lovely pine double bed and is fitted with Freeview TV, DVD player and DAB radio alarm. Also in the main room there is a dining table and four chairs, and hidden away is a hair-drier and an iron.  The KITCHENETTE has a single-drainer sink unit, two-ring Zanussi hob and 'silent-run' fridge in the cupboard below. There is also a microwave oven, mini-oven with grill, toaster and kettle. We supply an assortment of pans , utensils and crockery - more than enough to survive a few days! For those guests who choose self-catering, breakfast stocks will be replenished daily. Guests can choose to cook 'at home' in the evening or to eat out at one of the many local pubs and restaurants. The cottage has a BATHROOM with shower, WC, wash hand basin and electric shaver point. The second BEDROOM has two full size single beds - suitable for adults and children.

The original house dates from 1812 - with later additions to accommodate a growing family!
We keep a DEFRA registered free-range   flock of up to 200 hens.
To help with rising energy prices the cottage and barn were fitted with  solar-panels in May 2011.
