The Garden Room

The Garden Room is located in the original barn adjacent to the main house. Built in 1812 of local Kexby yellow brick the building has in recent years undergone extensive refurbishment and now houses both the Garden Room and a separate single room. The barn and cottage are conveniently located next to each other which makes it ideal for larger family parties attending local functions in the area. In one corner of the Garden Room is a delightful oak drinks and storage cabinet which has been modified to house a kettle, microwave and mini-fridge. The room is always well stocked with tea (Indian, Earl Grey & green), coffee and biscuits - milk and bottled water are kept in the fridge and fruit is also available.
The Garden Room features a traditional iron-frame, king size bed fitted with a hypoallergenic, orthopedic mattress to help you get a good night's sleep. The room itself is well-proportioned being approximately 4m x 5m (13' x 16') and is carpeted throughout. The Garden Room has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, toilet and wash hand basin - both rooms are centrally heated.

We provide basic crockery and cutlery so if you want to prepare a snack in the room you're well equipped to do so. The cabinet also houses a selection of books and dvds which guests are free to enjoy. Also to be found in the room is a TV, radio alarm, hair dryer and a full length mirror. The ensuite bathroom features a full length bath with power shower over - the choice is yours! The room has a full size wardrobe and there is plenty of drawer space in the unit and elsewhere. Whether you want time to relax or work the room is equipped for both with a delightful cottage style sofa and overlooking the garden a small oak desk and chair which can double up as a dressing table if needed. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the room and breakfast is served between 7.30 - 9.00 in the conservatory of the main house. There is ample seating outside and in the garden and we are happy for guests to roam around and feed the chickens! To book your stay in the Garden Room click here.
